Ezedin Abdel Aziz Khalil
Khalil (aka Yasin al-Suri) is an Iran-based senior al-Qaeda facilitator. He was born in 1982 in al-Qamishli, Syria. He operates in Iran by agreement with the Iranian government. He has been operating there since 2005. He moves or helps to move money and recruits across the Middle East through Iran and into Pakistan, Afghanistan, and Iraq. He helped Atiyah Abd al-Rahman, and he has raised significant funds throughout the Persian Gulf region. He also works to get displaced al-Qaeda personnel who have been caught in Iran released from Iranian prisons. The Iranian government transfers them to Khalil, who then facilitates their travel to Pakistan. The U.S. Department of State has authorized a reward of up to $3 million for information leading to the location of Ezedin Abdel Aziz Khalil who is also known as Yasin al-Suri.
