Bio

Muhammad Reza Taheri-azar was born May 5, 1983 in Tehran. He has been sentenced to over 26 years in prison for using a rented Jeep Grand Cherokee as a deadly weapon on a crowded courtyard at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He turned himself in saying, he did it to “follow in the footsteps of one of my role models, Mohammad Atta.” A reclusive and antisocial lover of fast cars, he grew up in the Charlotte, NC area with his mother and younger and older sisters as a US citizen from the age of two.
