Spritual Challenges Need Spiritual Responses

This war on terror is the great global conflict of our generation. Our enemies know it is a spiritual struggle, but do we?

Terrorist want to bring the whole world under their particularly strict interpretation of Muslim law. Being out-manned, out-gunned, out-financed, and nationless, they use acts of terror to create fear and despair that will destroy our will to resist. The courage, hope, and resolve needed to combat their offensives are spiritual in nature.

So far the global response to terrorism is mostly material. American strategy, for example, consists of 1) defending its homeland, 2) attacking terror networks overseas, 3) and correcting socio-economic conditions that build sympathy for terrorists.

This Adopt-a-Terrorist For Prayer movement offers the opportunity to go on a symmetrical counter offensive by bringing spiritual resources to bear against a spiritual enemy.
